Hello~

I would like to post about my personal experience with Linda Sunx and her website my-lolita-dress.com, as well as review the quality of the shoes I received from An*Tai*Na in my order!

Update: I received this message from linda.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First up: My-Lolita-Dress.com

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am going on a trip to NYC in april to see Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, and I realized that I had no suitable lolita shoes to bring with me! I quickly looked for a place that had the styles and colors I wanted as well as an easy checkout. After discovering my-lolita-dress.com, like most people, I immediately was like "Okay, this is a Milanoo clone." However, after some research, I found that it was not. I was excited because the website was in pretty decent English and the cart/checkout system was nice/simple (besides the problem i had, which is explained in detail later on). I was definitely worried about the shipping times, and after seeing Linda post about her website on the Facebook comm sales, I decided to contact her via there and ask her about the shipping. Her communication was great - her English wasn't perfect, however she easily got her point(s) across and I got the information I needed.

I was having a lot of trouble at first with the website, which is why the review is a 4.5/5 instead of a 5/5. Pages weren't loading, my cart would reset and then double itself, and at one point the website completely crashed and I had to contact Linda via facebook and see what she could do to fix it (It was not a problem with my connection.) ~
She informed me that the site was getting too many visits a day and that they were soon going to transfer to a better hosting server. After a couple hours, the site was fixed again and I could order. After the site was fixed, ordering was pretty much a breeze.

I placed my order on Jan 27 2013 and received it today, March 5 2013. That was absolutely fantastic because since Chinese New Year just passed, I actually was expecting the shoes to be 2.5 weeks - 1 month late!! They took just over a month to process, ship, and arrive to my address.

Here is a snippet of my confirmation email -

I would like to add that the email went into my JUNK folder, and also took 24 hours to arrive. This isn't *really* a problem except that it confused me at first, because I thought my order didn't go through. Just warning others so they don't submit twice :P

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm going to rate my-lolita-dress.com a 4.5/5, and here's a breakdown:

Prices: 5/5 pretty reasonable.
Communication: 5/5
Website/Checkout: 3/5
Shipping costs: 5/5, about average/expected, no reason to rate any lower
Shipping time: 5/5, super fast!

Next: An*Tai*Na

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright, so you already know about my generally positive experience with ordering these shoes through my-lolita-dress.com.

However, I'd also like to review the actual shoes that came in the mail!

From what I could tell, the package from An*Tai*Na was not opened by the reseller. It was placed inside another shipping package and sent to me via DHL. Linda says that they did open the package for review.

(Unrelated side note: I wish I could have reviewed the DHL man. He literally danced his way up to my door, was super enthusiastic, and didn't freak out when my dogs barked. Also, he told me that my last name was cool & then danced his way back to the van.)

Sadly, I was too excited to get my greedy little paws on those shoes and forgot to take photos of me unpacking them..... but there was SO MUCH protection! I had to cut through 2 layers of plastic bag and 3 layers of bubble wrap, and THEN the shoes were wrapped individually in plastic on top of that.

Here's the aftermath:

& Now onto the shoes:

My first thought was that they were adorable, and pretty much exactly what I ordered! I measured my foot at a 24cm, and along with my other An*Tai*Na 24.5's being too big, I decided on ordering 24s.

The first 2 shoes I tried on did not fit. :( I'm aware that a lot of people have had sizing problems with An*Tai*Na, and sadly I'm another example of those problems. I can technically squeeze my foot into them but it's very snug and almost painful. I'll probably end up trading/selling those, as they'd be better for someone with a size 23.5cm foot.

Onto the shoes individually-

Black Tea Parties - 4/5

Super cute and accurate to what I ordered, besides the fact that they were super small on me. Not much to say about these besides the sizing because they are pretty good quality.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

White Platforms: 3/5

These shoes get a 3/5 because along with the sizing problem, they were also made out of a pretty weird material. It was kind of... chalky? I don't know what it is or how to describe it, really. They also showed flaws on the sides of the shoes, where you can see how the platform was made as well as on the inward-side, you can see where the two ends of the border were fused together (Not pictured, but if anyone's super interested I can take one). They're cute overall but weren't super accurate or comparable to the black ones (or the pink ones i'm about to review) quality-wise.

Pink Heart Buckle Replicas: 5/5

Edit:
Disclaimer: A scuff is not a manufacturer's defect; these things happen during shipping all the time and I felt it would be wrong of me to personally rate the reseller or An*Tai*Na any lower for it. All of the shoes were packaged wonderfully and this was just an unfortunate occurrence.

These ones actually fit me fine! :)
There was a little bit of cosmetic damage when they arrived, but that's not really An*Tai*Na's fault, or the resellers. These are absolutely perfect and spot-on to what I ordered, the only pair out of the three to be rated a 5/5.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Overall, I'm rating An*Tai*Na a 4/5, and here's a breakdown:

Quality: 3.5/5
Domestic shipping to reseller: 5/5
Packaging: 5/5

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That's it for my review, and if any of you actually read all of it, kudos to you!
