A Beginner's Wardrobe

Jan 30, 2013 22:27

Probably about the smallest wardrobe post here haha, but hey why not.
Included is how and in approximately what order I have obtained my pretties, may be useful to fellow beginners :)
Of course, feel free to skip past my babbling and just look at the nice pictures :P

mainly accessories and a few key pieces )

Thanks I'm glad you like it and think it all goes together well ^^
I guess the way I shop helps it look like everything was picked with care, I usually think about something for a good while before I decide to buy!

It's so simple but very nice because you have a really good taste even though you just started out. I enjoy looking at your post very much.

Thanks! I am glad you think I have good taste for a beginner~ I think it helps that I lurked for a good while and thought about it lots before I decided to buy, rather than being like "OMG I MUST WEAR LOLITA NOW"

A lovely start to what will be a life of lovliness! I would never think to do red accessories with lavender, but it looks wonderful.

Thank you~ the big red patch of strawberries on the dress helps it all tie in nicely :)

It's a nice start for a new Lolita ! It's not strange at all to start with brand !
It's at least better than starting as an Ita (like me haha ^^').
And I love your Sailor wristcuffs !

Hurray I'm not strange!
And aw, everyone has to go through a newbie stage in some thing or another :P at least you can look back at those days and laugh
Thanks! they only arrived in the mail the other day~ I can't wait to get a sailor dress to pair them with (I am a sucker for all sailor things)

I think it's wonderful you have been able to buy the majority of your items with a particular coordinate in mind. Like candlelitballad mentioned, many of us start out a little too strong and end up buying a lot of items that don't match anything else we own.

I'm glad that it's come together well! I've been thinking more recently about how well an item will go with what I currently own (lolita or not) when I'm thinking of buying it.
