First up, this is NOT a "how can I be more Loli at work" post. I know that has been done to death, and that's not my question. I'm really more curious about people who have "career" type jobs. Jobs that are a 9-5ish, where you are working full time, on a career path, and must, absolutely MUST wear a conservative suit. I am starting to look for jobs

Unless work is your life, you are at work to SUPPORT your life. You aren't there to make best friends (though having friends is, of course, AMAZING), you are there to make a living. If there is something about your personal life that could put that in jeopardy, don't risk it. Most people she's worked with don't know she's gay. It isn't there business, and as she says "Putting food on the table is far more important than them knowing all about my romantic life and my family." Same thing for you, if you think it would risk your job, just ask if it's really that important if your co-workers know what kind of clothes you wear while you aren't at work. If you live in a super small town where you are likely to see them, wear a more grown up style. If you are in a big city where you will probably never see them? It's your life. Do what makes you happy. What's the point of having a job if it isn't to support your life and happiness?
