Hello girls

I want to tell you all about a project I have been working on which is based on lolita fashion.

For my media course I had to converge two or more media's, so I chose film, music and social networking/viral videos. I love watching k-pop and j-pop dance videos online and especially love the dance covers. Then we have people like Rebecca Black becoming viral over night with her manufactured song which is so darn catchy yet so bad, some even say it's good. I wanted to create something similar which could become viral but with a Lolita twist.
So obviously, I am here to spread the word!

My idea started with the punk song 'Sheena is a punk rocker' by the Ramones. I wanted to make a Punk Lolita version as I thought to myself that Punk Lolita isn't as popular as sweet or classic. I wondered what it would be like to have some girls live up to the attitude of punk whilst in Lolita. So I got my friend's band to record the song and I gathered a few friends who knew of Lolita (I stress this point, as some of them had never dressed in it before) and would be able to learn the dance. I then dressed them up and they all learned a dance to suit the song. The whole point of this project is for the Lolita community to enjoy and to participate and see how fun (and viral) Lolita can be!

I was hoping people would make some reply videos. Either a cover of the dance (as an individual or as a group of friends?) or maybe your best Punk outfit? Think outside the box!
