For those of you who haven't noticed yet, Poupee is currently running a little campaign to gather donations.
They have a little special section of items for sale via jewels to raise money.

You might want to post up translated details about how much they're giving to relief efforts as well?

The beneficiary is the Japan Red Cross.
Purchasing an item of 50 jewels = donation of 50yen to the Red Cross.
Pupe will donate the same amount with each donation. Meaning ultimately Pupe will give 100yen for an item costing 50 jewels.

Off course I'll be buying some of these items!

I just have a question....do you know why the ribbons are 1000 jewels and the other items are only 50-100 jewels? I'm just curious

I think the items are a representation of a donation rather than the value of the item. You can donate in sums of 50, 100 or 1,000yen

I agree with blonde debates, probably just a way to separate the donation amounts. It's probably specifically the most expensive for hair bows because I'm guessing those are the most popular items :)

Just bought a bunch of stuff. Turns out they are redboxed. I wonder if that will turn some people off from making the bigger donations?

What does "redboxed" mean?

It means you can never re-sell the items.

If someone seriously doesn't donate because they can't resell because it'll be a "rare" item, then that would be ridiculous. :/ No one should want to buy an item like that either, because that would make it seem like they donated when they actually didn't. I think they want credit to donators to stay with donators.
I don't know how to buy jewels. ;_; I feel like an idiot. Does 1,000 jewels cost $10?
