I just wanted to add that another way to help is to donate blood to Red Cross. Due to cultural differences, donating blood is not a very common practice in Japan/Asia in general, so if you are broke and meet the eligibility requirements, then this is a good option too.

This is a great Idea! Maybe to get more people involved, make a Facebook group/page about it.
This whole thing sucks. Just flat out sucks. The japan earthquake and tsunami.
