My Mbok horror story

Jan 30, 2011 12:05

I know most people have absolutely no problems when ordering things off Mbok and Y!Japan, but I just wanted to show you all what can happen because I am now in a situation where I am out hundreds of dollars for a pile of junk. I hope nothing like this ever happens to anyone else, but I figured I would warn you all.

One day, I was browsing Mbok and came across this lucky pack auction a seller had posted:
http://www.mbok.jp/item/item_287030881.html?_RC_SRC=PI,1

From the looks of it, the things that were eligible to be thrown in were nice prints or at least all the things were lolita/loliable. I bid on the auction through my shopping service up until I'd thrown in roughly $225+fees to the SS+shipping. I won the auction and we waited for the girl to send the things. When she hadn't sent anything almost a week after I had paid, the SS tried to contact the seller. She didn't respond at first, but eventually she said that she didn't have time to ship and she'd try to on Wednesday. She said she had shipped on Wedneday, but gave no tracking number. The package arrived at my SS today. They sent me a message telling me that barely any of the stuff is lolita and it's all dirty and practically falling apart. Here is a list of some of the stuff the SS received:

-An assortment of dollar store jewelry
-Used bottle of Anna Sui nailpolish
-A pair of very used ratty old loliable shoes (approx 26cm)
-Two pairs of thigh-high stockings with busted elastic
-A small dollar store mirror
-Red shimmery tights
-A small lavender "petticoat"
-Long sheer slip-like leggings
-A bunch of random tops and skirts that aren't loliable at all
-A dirty old ratty pink backpack
And here are some pics from the SS:

These things were sent along with two Baby JSKs (not sure but I think one is the flowercart embroidery) and a black HeartE bag. The SS told me that they tried to ask for a shipping quote, but the post office said they couldn't send it in the condition it was in... The seller had shipped everything in a Meta shopping bag that was bursting at the seams.

I asked if I could somehow get a refund, but the SS paid through a wire transfer and they can't get my money back. They also said that they couldn't leave negative feedback for the seller because she leaves retaliatory feedback and the SS can't afford to have any negatives, which I can understand. Apparently Mbok wouldn't do anything about it either since the seller advertised it as a lucky pack, so it was her choice what went in.

So, I am now stuck with paying the shipping for a load of junk. The SS said they would throw out the dirty or unusable clothes to cut down on shipping if I wanted them to. I know $300 isn't a lot to some of you, but it's a lot to me and I'm really upset. I hope that my bad experience serves as a learning experience for those of you that haven't been scammed and that this never happens to you. Since I can't leave negative feedback where it counts, I'd like to tell you all never to buy from this person: http://www.mbok.jp/_u?u=5966488

Edit: I have now included all the pictures that the SS sent me for those who are interested.

I also want to make sure that you all understand that I'm not looking for sympathy, I know I took a chance. The only reason I am posting is to warn other lolitas in the only way I can. To all the people that left consoling words, thank you, it is appreciated <3
