List of What Can & Can't be Washed

Jan 31, 2010 15:19

So I decided to try to be helpful by making a master list of what can & can't be washed.

Thank you everyone for your input! I will try & keep this list as up to date as I can through out the year.

Please comment with any prints you've had problems with or ones that you've had machine or hand wash success. I will add them to list.

As a rule, never dryclean anything with a screenprint. It's best to handwash those items :)

I washed my BTSSB Karami skirts in my washing machine (40 celsius delicate program), I also did wash my Baby cutsew boleros, Baby Chiffon Angel JSK, and Meta lucky pack skirt as well. Nothing happened. (The Meta skirt looked better after the gentle was than it looked like before.)

Otherwise, girls, never save money on not bringing your print dresses/skirts to dry cleaning.

Thanks for the list. I was wondering the same thing actually.. I think I spilled a drop on my Meta Royal Frame and it smudged ever so slightly.. Only worn once so I haven't actually washed it. And my Vintage Cherry I haven't washed yet, but it looks like it might run.. I wouldn't machine wash anything with a print.

I've handwashed Btssb's thumbelina in ivory and it was fine.

I don't machine wash any of my lolita stuff anymore [or anything else with tulle or lace] our washing machine is just waaay to rough on clothing.

I added the stuff about Royal Fram & Thumbelina, Thanks :)

I had a feeling we had a thread on this before, but I can't find it eitherX__x;; Well, I will add this one to memories if it gets enough responses.

I'm too afraid to put most of my prints near water, except Moitie stuff, which so far has been fine.

I had that feeling too, sometimes I think entries on EGL are like socks in the wash: they just disappear...
