...Is this show STILL on?

Is anyone fansubbing this, or did everyone back off because they don't wanna go up against VIZ? I'd much prefer to be watching a fansub. VIZ's misspellings and suffix "translations"/deletions are only adding to my complete joy over this series...

Anyway...

We begin where we left off, at the end of 370. Aww, Kagura... ILY. <3

Episode Title: Kagura no Kaze, which translates to KAGURA DOESN'T GET THE WHOLE EPISODE LIKE SHE DESERVES BECAUSE WE'RE A BUNCH OF STUPID BASTARDS.

So, because they're a bunch of stupid bastards, we jump to Inu-tachi in 375.

Then we jump to Kouga(!) in 380. ILY KOUGA. I'm just sad they've taken Inu-tachi out of your storylines because they're so busy RUSHING EVERYTHING. fuckyouanime. >.>

Back to Inu-tachi, as we cover 375-376. For unknown reasons, Kohaku runs out as soon as his shard starts reacting. In the manga, he goes out with everyone and then runs ahead. He's also awake when it happens, while in the manga, he was asleep. Does it hurt you to follow canon too much, anime? Do you have to change little things for no reason to make yourselves feel better?

We go back to Kouga for... TWELVE WHOLE SECONDS.

Then we go back to Inuyasha and Kikyou in 377. (I'd much rather have Kouga.) In the manga, IY actually grabs her to stop her and they talk really chose to each other. Amazingly, the anime has them rather far apart from each other and there's no touching at all. O_o I'm sad that they took out Kohaku cutting a bit of hair to give to Sango. I liked that part...

Next we have a short scene from 403. Or at least it's supposed to be.

Kouga gets more than twelve seconds this time (yay!) as we finish up 380 and go through 382. In the preview last week, VIZ translated Goraishi as Lightning Claws, so I was afraid they were going to call it that. Since they left it untranslated in the manga, I was surprised they were translating it here. But, thankfully, in the episode, they referred to it as Lightning Claws once (so we know what it means, I guess) and Goraishi the rest of the time. Now, if only we could do this with the rest of the attack names...

Finally we get back to Kagura in 371-372, with a commercial break thrown in.

Then... oh, ew. Sess.

Ahh, Kagura. Much better. Except she's dying, so... ;_;

Wait, why are we back with Sess again?! DO NOT WANT. This is supposed to be 405-406. But it's really, really not. I mean, in the manga, Mouryoumaru has stolen IY's Kongousouha, and Inu-tachi, Kikyou, and Kohaku are there. But here it's... just Sess. Lame.

We do a 180 and go from an intense battle to... Kagura... Oh, Kagura... ;_; We're starting to get into 373, and I can feel myself getting a bit emotional.

But we quickly switch back to Sess, so, like Sess, I lose all emotion. And the scene begins with Jaken, uh, sounding quite similar to a monkey. Err, okay. XD You know, Kagura hasn't died yet, so you guys aren't supposed to be doing any of this right now. And, as if all these differences weren't bad enough, they have Sess use... AZURE DRAGON WAVE!1!1 SOURYUUHA?! ANIME! WHY ARE YOU USING THIS MADE UP ATTACK FROM AWFUL, TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE MOVIE THREE?! WE DON'T NEED PEOPLE THINKING THAT SHITTY MOVIE IS CANON MORE THAN THEY ALREADY DO. Then Tokijin breaks. Personally, I think the sword was like, "Souryuuha?! Oh, hell no! Are you fucking kidding me?! Enough of this shit!" and broke itself on purpose.

Kagura again. Finally! Isn't this supposed to be her episode? ...Despite everything, I really do like how this part was done, even if it took us the whole episode to get to it. Kagura's "Saigo ni... aeta..." was delivered beautifully. Aww, Kagura, the only time I don't hate Sesshoumaru is when he's with you. That's how awesome you are. P.S. fandom, SessRin is not canon because SessKagu is. "Atashi wa kaze da... Jiyuu na kaze da..." RIP Kagura... ;_;

So, to sum up... I love Kagura (RIP), the anime still thinks cramming a million chapters into an episode = GREAT IDEA, and... SOURYUUHA?! REALLY?! Next week: The Shippou Show and MOAR SESS. Otanoshimi ni!!!

inuyasha, kanketsu-hen, anime
