The Two Mrs. Grissoms
...was the title of tonight's CSI episode. It was about Sara and her mother-in-law. So, basically... a GSR episode.
Meaning, for the first time in years, I was actually REALLY FREAKIN' EXCITED for an episode of CSI.
But, was it worth the hype? OH, YOU BET IT WAS.
First off, it started with Jorja Fox looking absolutely fantastic in formal wear. Her beauty is so understated, but she really is gorgeous.
She was on the phone with Grissom, her husband (that will never get old). It was great to hear his voice again!
Later, Sara said, and I quote, "Grissom and I have great sex." I... There are no words for this line. It was just plain epic.
Then, in the last scene, Sara is having a web cam conversation with Grissom. Hearing his voice was great, but it doesn't compare to actually seeing him again! Oh, Grissom, how dearly you have been missed! Plzcomebacksoonwemissyousomuchomg. Seeing the two of them "together" again was such a treat.
Then, Grissom's mother comes in, giving Sara a flower (an African Violet) as an apology for criticizing Sara and Grissom's marriage throughout the episode. Seeing this, Grissom says, "I told her you liked vegetation." A nod to an episode from all the way back in season two (we're in season eleven now), where Grissom sends Sara a plant as an apology, telling the florist "she likes vegetation" - an interpretation he apparently made because she's a vegetarian (and he's just adorably fail like that). EPIC CONTINUITY FTW!
Grissom's mother signs (she's deaf) that Grissom and Sara need to get together more often (Grissom's currently in Peru and Sara's, of course, in Las Vegas) because sex is important in marriage! (LOL!) Sara's just like, "Your mother is talking about our sex life..." Then, in true geeky fashion, Grissom starts talking about how the Incas (or someone) passed down knowledge about sex by writing stories on pottery called sex pots.
It ends with Grissom signing "I love you" and saying, "I love you both." Both women sign "I love you" back, Sara saying, "Love you, too," and giving a little wave. It was SOOOO SWEEEEET. It absolutely melted me and left me with this big, goofy grin on my face that only these two can bring.
I LOVE MY SHIP SOOOOO MUCH.
TL;DR: CSI was amazing tonight and GSR is still epic canon.
