Well, I've been busy.. making things, spending time with family, writing in Japanese, and translating, etc. ^^

Next, I've started translating things from magazines, purely for studying purposes, because I seem to learn kanji and vocab much faster, and I feel that I'm doing something productive and fun. That being said, I'm sure there are some mistakes in here, and there were a few sentences that I just didn't know how to translate any better. I thought maybe... someone would be interested in reading ^^;; I dunno.
For my first try, I've translated a small part from the June issue of Duet. I'm planning on translating for each of the members, but for right now I just have Tegoshi's, and I'm halfway through with Shige's.
雨にまつわるエピソードを教えてください！
Please tell us about an episode in the rain!
小学校３、４年生のころだったかな。放課後に雨が降ってきたんだ。それで帰り道、好きだった女の子が雨に濡れてるのを見かけた瞬聞、俺は待ってた自分の傘を彼女にパッと渡して、その女の子の顔も見ずに、そのままダーッと走って家に帰った。残念ながら、片想いで終わっちゃった恋だけど、そのときの風景を、いまもすごく覚えてるんだよね。
I was in elementary school.. 4th grade. An after school rain was coming down. On my way back home, I happened to see the girl I liked getting wet. Suddenly I gave her my umbrella, and saw her face.. and just like that ran home. I'm sorry to say, but my unrequited love was over.. but even now I really remember everything so well from that time.

What kind of umbrella do you use now?
白いビニール傘が多いかな。立派な傘は、どこかに忘れてくるとこまるので持っていくのをためらっちゃう。
A large white vinyl umbrella. A good umbrella is one that fixes things when your holding it, if you're forgetful or bothered. (I don't know how to translate this better)
｢雨」と聞いてイメージする歌や映画、ドラマなどはありますか？
When you hear the word "rain", are there any songs, movies, or dramas you think of?
X Japanの「Endless Rain」は大好きな一曲。テゴマスの新曲、「アイアイ傘」も、好きな人と同じ傘に入って肩を寄せ合う、ロマンチックな雨の歌だよ。ドラマだったら、去年出演した「しゃばけ」を思い出す。雨を降らすシーンがあって、メチャメチャ濡らされました（笑）。
X Japan's "Endless Rain" is a song I love. I also think of Tegomass' new song "Ai Ai Gasa (Under the same Umbrella)", being with the person you like under the same umbrella, and your shoulders touch. It's a romantic rain song. If I think of a drama, I am reminded of last year's "Shabake". There was a scene where the rain came pouring down, and they became extremely wet. (laugh)

気にします。ケータイのサイトで家を出る前にチェックして、雨が降りそうな日は、折りたたみ傘を持って出かけます。春先は、花粉情報もいっしょにチェックしていました～。
I do care. I check the weather on a site on my cell phone before I leave the house, and if it looks like it's going to be a rainy day, I take my umbrella out from under the tatami. In the beginning of spring, we also checked the pollen news together!
｢雨っていいな」と思うのはどんなときですか？
Is there a time when you think, "What great rain!"?
うーん、ないがなぁ・・・。基本的に外に出るのが好きな人だから、雨のよさはパッと思いつかないや・・・。できれば、晴れていてほしいな、って思うもん。
Hmmm, not really.. basically, I like going out to see the people I like, so I'm never suddenly thinking it's a good rain.. If it does rain, I'd want it to clear up right away I think.

外で游ぶ計画を立てていたとき。小さいころ、雨が降り出したのに屋外のブールに行く予定を強行させたら、雷が鳴り始めて、ものすごく怖かった！
When I decided to do an outdoor swimming program. It was when I was little, and although it was raining very hard, they still scheduled us to swim in the outdoor pool. We started hearing thunder.. it was extremely scary!!

オレじゃない？ドラマがクランクインする日は、かなりの確率で降ります（涙）。でも、プライベートで、その効力を感じることは、なぜか少ない。
Isn't it me? On the day of my drama's "crank in (first day of filming)", it was supposed to rain quite a bit (cry). But, in private, that kind of thing is for some reason pretty rare.

大好きなロングジャケットを着ないようにするぐらいで、とくに、ふだんと変らないよ。
I try to wear a long jacket I love, my tastes don't change. (This was another I wasn't sure about)

サイダー。シュワシュワするのが小さいころから好きだった。あとはニッキ飴。常備してるのは、医薬品の、のど飴です。
Cider. I've liked it ever since I was a little kid. After that, it's cinnamon. In terms of cough drops, I like the plain flavor.
近況を教えて？

相変わらず、サッカーばっかりしてる。ちょうどいまくらいの気候が体を動かすには気持ちがいいよね。スケジュールに余裕があるときは、週３ペースで、いろんなチームに参加してるよ。大会にも出たいんだけど、前もって参加表明できないから、それば難しいんだよね。それ以外は、ギターの練習してます。もっとうまくなりたい！
As usual, just soccer. Just now the weather has changed so it feels really good. When I have time between my schedule, I have a 3 week pace where I participate in various teams. I want to go to one of the tournaments, but because I've played on a few different teams, I can't. That's difficult. That's all except I'm practicing guitar. I want to get better!

夏が恋しくなる、すごくさわやかな曲。聴いた瞬聞、海へ行きたくなった。一度聴いたら、すぐ覚えちゃうと思うし、テクニックじゃなくて素直な気持ちで元気よく歌う感じ。PVも、まだ完成版を見てないから想像だけど、自然な表情でワイワイ遊んでるメンバーが映ってるはず。楽曲の中で、ひとつのストーリーが完成しているから、それも味わってもらいたいな。夏が終わっても君と一緒にいたい・・・。すごくストレートなラブソングだよ。
It's about a summer love, it's an extremely refreshing song. When I first heard it, it didn't make me want to go to the ocean. But when I heard it once more, I immediately remembered many things. It isn't a technique, but honest feelings in a song which cheer you up. The PV, which I haven't seen fully yet so I use my imagination, but our spontaneous expressions and having fun should come out. In this song, there's a complete story, and I want to savor that. When summer is over, I want to be with you... It's a very straight love song.

夏は毎年、仲良し３人組で集まって、海かプールに行ってるよ。去年はプールだったけど、「しゃばけ」スタッフに、「肌は絶対焼かないで！」と言われたので、日焼け止めを塗りたくり、細心の注意を払って遊んでました（笑）。
Every year in the summer, we get a bunch of our friends together, and go to the ocean. Last year, we went but the "Shabake" staff said, "You DEFINITELY can't get a tan!!", so I doused myself with suntan lotion and was very careful in the sun when we went. (laugh)

For some reason, I can't get Sho's 1280x1024 to upload right onto Photobucket.. it'll show up as the right resolution in PS, but when I upload it, it resizes it for some reason, no matter how hard I try to make it not do that >_<...
