Title: Always Alright
Author: Egg
Genre: Drama
Pairings/Characters: Luke and Guy

Summary: Drabble. Guy's always alright...right?
He was closing his eyes, lashes against the curve of his cheeks; Guy has a baby face, the kind the girls coo over. I wish his eyes were open, because I'd like to look into them and ask if he's alright.
Guy's always alright, though.
I'm not sure if it's strength or not...I can't tell, because he won't let anyone close enough to the wound to examine it. When something painful happens, it's his nature to shy away completely, assure us yes, yes, he's fine, of course he can continue onward, when I'm not sure if he's actually fine or if on the inside he's screaming and crying. That smile is bright enough to outshine any other doubts, but seven years of it taught me so much, now that I know so much that I hadn't before.
My professional opinion rests that Guy wants to curl up into a ball and cry.
I won't approach him about it, not while we're walking, because he'd ignore it or brush it off, no big deal. I won't insistantly pull his head down to rest on my shoulder, not until tonight, when it's just he and I and a small fire that's awake. Once I resolve myself, steel myself -asking Guy if he's all right shouldn't have to be something to need to prepare yourself for- I feel an even more demanding tug.
Lashes lift, and I can see Guy's eyes. I'm not waiting for tonight.
"Luke?" His voice is inquisitive, and he jumps with a start when I wrap my arms around his neck and yank, sinking to my knees, tugging his face against my shoulder. "Luke, what are you-"
"Shut up." I'm angry, but I'm not sure why. I stroke his hair back. I ignore the questions from everybody else, and concentrate on Guy.
"...Luke, I don't-"
"Yes you do."
"I'm f-"
"If you dare lie to me again, I'll never forgive you!" Such underhanded tactics, but if that's what it takes. There is a moment when I'm afraid that he'll pull away, but his hand is trembling and on my arm, and I know that finally, finally.
Guy cries.
Title: Loosening Up

Genre: Humor, pron
Pairings/Characters: GuyxPeony
Rating: NC-17
Summary: (RIDICULOUSLY SHORT drabble.) Oh dear. This could get him executed.
"Y-Your Majesty, this isn't exactly p-prudent-!" His last word squeaked and lifted high into a previously unknown octave when the object of his deliberation -and pleasure- swirled his tongue around him.
"Gailardia," Peony said sternly, pulling back to address his personal assistant, "you need to loosen up. You've been here a total of three weeks and you are still skirting around like some kind of intruder."
"Your Majesty, with all due respect, I don't think this is the best way to get me to loosen up."
Peony pondered this. "...you could be right."
"I'm glad you-AH!"
Needless to say, when Luke arrived one week later, Guy was more than delighted to leave Grand Chokmah for a while.
Title: The Hole Left Behind
Author: Egg
Genre: Fluff, General
Pairings/Characters: GuyxLuke, Olivia
Rating: G
Summary: He swore he was the luckiest man alive, sometimes.
He could hear them rustling at the foot of the bed. He knew it was coming, he had braced himself and still-
"Oof!" It still hurt.
"Happy Birthday Guy!"
"Hap' Birfday Papa!"
Guy opened his eyes to be greeted by a giggling little girl clinging quite tenaciously to his chest, and Luke flopped quite neatly over his stomach, also giggling. "I sure hope that isn't my present."
"Nooo," they both protested, sounding very...alike.
"Lookit," the girl proclaimed, kneeling up on the bed and spreading her arms. Guy rubbed his eyes and blinked at her blearily before his eyes widened and he gasped.
"You're in a pilot suit!"
"Like Papa's!" She beamed.
Guy smiled and pushed himself up against the pillows, sitting up. "Yeah, just like mine. Who made it for you?"
"I commissioned some people in Baticul," Luke told him proudly, as if this would have been a very difficult thing to do. "Do you like it?"
"Well, does Olivia like it?" Guy asked, turning to their daughter and smiling when she nodded emphatically. "Then I love it. I'll go get mine so we can match, okay?"
"Wait!" the four-year-old protested. "Papa get present first!" She scooted to the edge of the bed and dropped, scampering out the door excitedly.
Luke took this oppertunity to lean over Guy and initiate what could possibly had been the hottest kiss he'd experienced to date. When the redhead pulled back, smirking slyly, Guy licked his lips and attempted to catch his breath to say, "Is that my present from you?"
"Hardly. That's the card." At Guy's eager expression, Luke laughed and nudged the side of Guy's face with his forehead. "Tonight. Olivia's going to go stay with Mother and Father."
"I bet Her Grace was thrilled."
Luke laughed again. "Not as much as Father, believe it or not. Says he's going to teach her some proper manners or whatever. I told him that he'd better recognize a lost cause when he sees it, but he just glared at me."
"Daddy," called a small voice from down the hallway, "Daddy -uunnh!- Daddy, it's heavy!"
"Yeah, it is; let Daddy get it, baby," Luke called, sliding from the bed and padding from the room. Moments later, Olivia darted through the doorway and leaped atop the bed again, pouting in disappointment when Guy was ready this time and caught her. Luke entered shortly after, carrying what appeared to be a very large, very heavy gift. Setting it beside the bed before sittting down next to their daughter, the man drew in a leg and held his ankle, he and Olivia bouncing impatiently on the mattress as Guy pushed back the blankets and proceeded to unwrap his gift.
After the shredding of much decorative paper and the massacre of a large ribbon bow -courtesty of Olivia, who insisted on 'helping'- Guy found himself staring at a gift fit for kings. "A p-power generator?! These are still prototypes! How did you get ahold of one?!"
"Olivia and I bullied Asch," Luke puffed his chest proudly, and Olivia -glancing at her younger father- did the same. "That's not the best part, though."
"Read the side!" Olivia exclaimed, hopping up and down.
Guy turned the box and felt his jaw drop. "A-ASSEMBLY REQUIRED?! You're going to let me build it?!"
"Yep!" Luke and Olivia chirped in unison, then squeaked in surprise when Guy swept them both into his arms and hugged them with all his might.
"Augh, you're the best family ever!" And just as it had been since the day he'd first kissed Luke, Guy felt the hole Mary and Hod's death left behind close just a little more.
