Two months later, hello! Too much working in the meantime, but things are settling down. Free evenings and snow on the ground!
These are good things:
Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler on
Hulu - Meta, fanservice, demons, twelve year olds, season finales to leave you at a loss for days. Is there anything better in the universe? Or, can one show hold all of this kink?
Interpol, Interpol - I take this out of my car playlist every few days... only to put it back in for another two dozen listens or so. That sounds pretentious, even if true.
The Other Guys - Almost experimental, definitely subversive, and questionably allegorical comedy movie
Smallville S10 - Clois
Virginia Comicon - Bearded Batmen drinking in hotel bars, Superman/Batman fanart, zombie everything. Yes, it's a con. And it's in my town.
NPR Pop Culture Happy Hour - Like LJ, on audio, and kind of legit.
Reading Cormac McCarthy in December - This year, it's The Crossing
The Economist ...The World in 2036 podcast - Robots! New gods!
Frontline audio podcast - The only reason to have a tv goes to audio
Allen Ginsberg - reading himself
Jackass 3D - Twenty more movies of shirtless guys acting like ten year olds, please.
Community on
Hulu - Every episode this season is an instant classic.
Batman: The Brave and the Bold - weekly episode at
Cartoon Network - I watch it on weekend mornings with coffee. Rainbow Batman forever.
Sherlock on
PBS - I can't wait for more. Now I'm glad I didn't read all those spoilery LJ entries.
The Maria Bamford Show - Female comedian doing greatness. As good as Louie but it's only on YouTube, afaik. [warning for mental health issues]
Sally Mann exhibit at the local museum, yay!!!
Holiday office parties at historic 115 year old hotels. Also, Sailor Jerry & egg nog.
(I'm sorry about all the Hulu, for those without access. Though those of you without access are too smart to put up with limited format streaming video anyway ;))
Shenandoah National Park - Luray, VA - October
So, what are you into lately? :)
