quilt
I haven't been talking much (for years now) about the quilt I started back in Oct 2010. I started it - sewed a bunch of the squares together but then lost interest and just knew it was going to be one of those unfinished projects that would get lost in the basement clutter. My good friend Berdella, (the person who really inspired me in the first place to try and make a quilt) is a wonderful quilter herself and agreed to piece the quilt for me. She sent this photo today - she has finished sewing the top together. When she gets back from Alabama in the spring she will point me in the direction of someone who does machine quilting and I'll get it finished. Berdella did a fabulous job of putting this together and scattering the pieces randomly the way I hoped they would be. I love it!!!!
In our new bedroom next door this is going to be the centerpiece - the thing that will pull everything together decorator-wise. When we first moved in there 13 years ago we painted everything in the whole house white and I had no color schemes at all. This time around I want to have COLOR and I think I will be painting the walls of the bedroom yellow. This quilt is going to look great there.
