The electric company came, disconnected the line and then felled (is that the right tense?) the tree. In 15 minutes they had the power connected again and were cutting the tree up into manageable lengths for us. Excitement over, danger averted...



All those oak leaves in the foreground were blown off when the spruce tree fell beside it.
