1. Busy day yesterday - started with breakfast at EatnPark with Nancy, kyana - always a good thing for me. We talk of personal things, ipod stuff, music, TV shows, feelings, art, writing and journals.
2. Came home to find that someone had stolen my debit card numbers and was charging stuff - a hotel room in Paris, a bicycle, a pair of glasses and trying to pay off a credit card bill. Some of the things were stopped at point of purchase but I had to go back into town to the bank to sign papers saying these things were not my purchases. And now my debit card is no good so I can't buy anything online till I get a new one in a week to 10 days. Which might be a good thing as I do shop too much for music and books that I can do without.
3. I let Gabriel give Tenzing a bath for the first time (while supervising) - he did good so I might let him do it on a regular basis. Tenzing could use more baths. I don't do it as much as I should cause it hurts my back to bend over the tub.
4. Found a nasty, huge, horrible tick behind Tenzing's ear. I had to put the muzzle on him so I could get the tick off. He is getting more used to the muzzle (for these kinds of situations - when I need to do things for his own good to him) and gives up his anger as soon as it's on - he knows I am in control then. I put the tick in a glass jar. Not sure what to do with it - smashing it would be bloody and awful. I guess I will flush it down the toilet...
5. Today would be dad's birthday if he was still living - he would be 102 today.
6. Dave found someone to roof the house that we trust and who is reliable and does good work - Bob Benek. We will pick out shingles today - I want the brick red ones and if they don't have those in stock I want to go with a warm brown - and it they don't have that then the tan. They should have at least one of those 3. I do not want a blue or green or gray color.
7. I need to move the flower pots and stuff from around the house so they don't get smashed by falling shingles. I really need to find time to get outside and do that today. The roofers may start this weekend.
8. The sky right now is one of the kinds that looks like clear glass with a pale yellowish tint near the horizon.
9. Chloe just pulled up in her car out front. She is coming for a visit this morning, to sleep here after working night shift, and to get some art supplies from next door.
10. What else? I noticed I used the word "smashed" twice above - I found out about a new type of blank journal called Smash Folios and I guess I must really like the word (I do). If I had a debit card I would order one today just so I could see it in person.
