the sun creates a blaze of yellow
Today is the last day of my #2 everything book. Looking though it (started Sept 2, 2010) I see it covers nearly a year of my life. I sat behind my shed tonight and wrote as I looked through it:
Goodbye to the year of quilt and batik material obsession, the year of bug bite insanity and imaginary bedbugs, the year of arm pains and antidepressants and such terrible tiredness, sleeping for 11+ hours most days, the year of decorated journal dates and zentangles, a new rolling mill and repousse tools, Nikon D5000 and lensbaby, Florida and Kathy in January, passionflowers, Chloe's graduation and art shows, discovery of Jimmy Z's train tunnel camping spot and tunnel walks, pinhole camera and 3d photography study, pogo and zink, new glasses, a vacation with Jules and the boys, caves, Reptileland and swimming pools, the year of starting 20x2's and getting more time for myself, Friday date nights, gas well money, cars for Chloe and me and a new truck for Dave. This has been a good year all in all, with difficulties but I am satisfied with nothing to regret.
last page - you can see we went to "one flew over the cockoo's nest" last night, ticket far left
everything #3 - ready to go - yay!
I don't know why I get so much enjoyment thinking about my journals - I guess they are more "me" than anything else. And this life is all about creating me!
