I have to say, I am really enjoying your "new" pictures with the telephoto lens!!!! It's funny how we get so used to one thing and then when we try something else it is new, exciting and challenging.

It's hard to pick a favorite, but I do love bathrobe reflections, baby fuzz leaves, unfurling, morning glory!, angry Beethoven, and of course the honeybee.

The tsst, tsst, tsst is a sound the cardinal makes. Could it be a family of cardinals? When I hear that sound, I always start looking around for a cardinal . . . and there one is!

I'm sure it wasn't cardinals. They were very small birds - maybe 3 1/2" to 4". I could see their shapes as silhouettes against the sky but couldn't see markings or colors.

This style of photo is very different from what I usually go for. It's much more straight forward and sharp. But I still love my dizzy lensbabies!

Lovely sunny photo, that first one.

That pansy's not angry! At least, I don't think so :)

I love the fox gloves. I have never grown them here, though I probably could if I wanted to. But I think I'm more into perennials - less work, hehe.

And I think I loved that bathrobe reflections one best!

The fox gloves are perennials - here anyway. They are spreading all by themselves and taking over that corner of the garden. They are spreading by seed but I see the old plants re-sprouting in the spring too.

Maybe the pansy's just grumpy. When I look at pansy faces I can't help but see big eyebrows and a beard on a little grumpy face for some reason. Probably some cartoon I saw when I was a kid!

I think it looks angry because it is red and has a down-drooping 'mouth'.

Hardly anyone here grows fox gloves - that's why I don't know anything about them!

Can you get seeds? Maybe for cheap you could give it a try. They seed themselves here so they can't be that demanding. They are dangerous though - the plants make digitalis and can kill or make you sick if you eat them. (Maybe it's better not to have them!) I found a dead chipmunk with no marks on it when I first brought them here. I suspected it might have nibbled on the plant.
