one photo a day inside - symbols book project
I got the Taschen book, "The Book of Symbols: Reflections on Archetypal Images" last week and I want to do something more with it than I do with my usual reference book purchases (which is glance thorough them and decide they are great, and that I will use them when I need inspiration - but then they just end up unused on the shelf). I want to do another A Year of Art Project (AYOA) - I've been missing my time dedicated to do something arty in the evenings when I sit with mom as she eats her dinner (which can take hours) so I've decided it will make a good project to go through the Taschen symbols book one page at a time, one day at a time and see what inspiration I can get from the words and pictures for my own "Symbols" book. I finished binding and painting the cover last night and am ready to get started. This time I will allow writing along with drawing and painting in my book. I am really looking forward to starting! It is -10F this morning - brrr! No sun in sight. When I took the mail out this morning the storm door creaked terribly with the cold. And it hurt to breath deeply.
