Yay! - I figured out where the Photoshop Elements 2 was keeping itself (filed under a totally different name) so I can open photos up immediately with it now. Small triumph! Now to figure out how to get the printer to work - it says there is an error and I should look at the documentation (wherever that is - must search for it today - I got the printer a year and a half ago and the drivers loaded themselves in the old computer when I hooked it up back then so I'm not sure where I saved the papers). Getting a new computer can be so frustrating till you get everything figured out. Baa! Maybe I should see it as exercise for my aging brain. Puzzles to solve.
The last 4 days I have been getting up at 5:30 am so I can have the car for the day. I like that - getting a head start on the day. And I have been drinking a coffee each morning - a treat for me as I usually drink only tea.
Been thinking lately that I would like to DO MORE DRAWING. There are some things that can never be shown with photography. The feeling of hair slipping on your neck, a breeze moving it, as you are walking:
If it wasn't for AYOA I would probably do practically no drawing. Sometimes I long for this project to be over cause I get to the end of the day and haven't done my drawing yet and just don't know what to do. Other times I am thankful for the excuse to draw and when the project is over in November I want to figure out a way to continue the discipline.
Two I did last week when I was in the midst of being inspired by Shahzia Sikander:
I suppose both could have the title, "Diving In".
