camera stuff

Oo-tapo (looking annoyed by being pushed out of the way so I could take a photo), the LX3 and the T70 35mm SLR:

My present obsession - getting a camera bag to carry the LX3 plus all the extra stuff (lens and filters and a tripod) and have everything fit into a purse that I can take everywhere. While looking through my old bags for something to use I came across my old film SLR camera (Canon T70). From around the year 1983, till I'm not sure when (1990?), I carried this camera everywhere, every time I went out and didn't seem to mind (I was 20 years younger...) It weighs 2.8 lb while the new little LX3 is only .6 pound! Of course the LX3 isn't as fabulous a camera as a SLR but I hope to make some neat photos with it anyway.

Above - the bag I found (it was musty in a box of old purses and I washed it yesterday - it's dry now) and all the stuff I hope to organize into it today. I still need to get a small size tripod that can fit in the bag too. It seems so silly to post this on here but this is where my mind is today. Now if only I could get out to use the camera - I feel so terribly trapped by having to stay in the house watching over my mom and the grandkids and cleaning up after everyone (they have a thing for making deviled eggs now). I need a real dose of acceptance today.

Here's a photo I took yesterday of kyana's hands. It was her idea and concept to have the photo taken from above like this and I had the camera handy to do it! I love her hands and her art together:
