friday - LX3!

The Lumix LX3 has arrived! I am waiting for the battery to charge and while I am waiting I'm trying to read the directions pamphlet. It looks easy if I was to do AUTO settings but complicated if I want to do the special stuff. My head is spinning with trying to read it. But I'm hoping that after the battery is charged and I can actually be doing things with the camera the words in the pamphlet and the settings on the camera will all come together so I can understand it. I have already made a spot in my purse for it. It's larger than my little kodak so I can't put it in the same spot as it used to travel in. I did a revamp of the whole purse (removed a few things I didn't really use - hand cream, a medium sized flashlight) and now everything fits. Yay!

nestled safely in it's new home

Tonight I will be doing the 5 hour round trip drive to Ohio with Jules and the grandsons to their mother's house. We only have a rental car from the insurance company now for transporting the boys and Jules isn't on our insurance so he can't drive it. I guess it has fallen to me to drive. I won't enjoy the extending driving - I have a hard time staying awake if I drive over an hour at a time so we will have some stops for sure. But I do like the idea of having time with Jules on the way home. The way life is with busyness and the kids needing attention I don't get much chance to really talk to Jules.

Lots of thunderstorms lately. The shed roof really leaked a lot last night but luckily I keep a plastic sheet over the bed so it doesn't get wet. I just go out in the morning and wipe the plastic off and everything is as good as new again. But I am looking forward to getting a new roof someday. As soon as Dave finds a car for us and gets that worry off his back I am going to start pushing for a roof again...
