Art a day - acrylic. After the painting by Klimt called Fulfillment. For xmas I got the Taschen book "Gustav Klimt: The Complete Paintings". I love the way Klimt paints and am looking forward to doing more work of my own that can incorporate some of his style. I'm thinking the best way to learn will be to copy some of his paintings. He also incorporated mosaic in his work. I'm loving looking at this book. Inspiring.
We had a nice day yesterday. Andy had fun tearing up wrapping paper as it was discarded and we had a huge pile of shredded paper in the middle of the room till you couldn't see the floor anymore. People came around 3 and left around 6. Most of them came from one family party then went on to another family gathering after leaving our house. Crazy.
I made my own version of chili rellenos with mashed potatoes in them as a side dish (among other things) and it was pretty good. I'm going to keep making them and see if I can perfect the recipe. We used to go to El Toro - the cook they had back then made chili rellenos with mashed potatoes and they were so good. Dave ended up talking to him and found out he used his mother's recipe. Then he quit and it was never the same, never as good.
Spent time with Hazel today. She's here till Sunday. We went shopping at Walmart this afternoon so she could get boots and pants. And I got more poblano peppers for chili rellenos. After shopping I dropped her off in Stoneboro at her aunt's house. I need to leave soon to go back and pick her up.
