Xmas is Coming Busy Hand Face. I wanted to get this done and out of the way first so I can be ready for the rest of the day. Lots to do: wrap presents, wash the sheets and make up the guest bedroom freshly for Hazel, dust the living room (it's terrible), fold and put away 4 baskets of clothes, plus the usual stuff like do the dishes and clean up the kitchen. We dirted a lot of dishes last night for Sunday dinner. I made two whole separate lasagnas. A vegan one with Jules and Roswell in mind and one with regular cheeses to please Dave. Personally I liked the regular one the best but it seemed like everyone else liked the vegan one best and it was all gone at the end of the evening. I made another jello instant pudding cream pie - this time with oat milk. It didn't set up AT ALL. Tasted good but a mess to serve. The best vegan cream pie I've made so far used almond milk, plant based heavy whipping cream and extra cornstarch along with the instant pudding mix. But it still took at least 12 hours to set up.
I bought a Giant Uno game yesterday while Jules and I were at Walmart and after dinner Noah, Jordan and I played. The cards are huge. The size of a book and big enough to fan yourself with. It was funny because they are very hard (impossible?) to shuffle by yourself so two of us had to do it together. One person holds half the deck and tries to riffle it together in unison with the other half deck held by the other person. Silly.
10F this morning. That's when you breathe through your nose and you can feel ice forming in there with each breath. I need to bundle up and get out there for chicken chores. Onward...
