You can see the color choices in the clothes I always wear. Lots of black and warm colors.
I noticed last night that the desk would be perfect as a puzzling spot. The cat won't be in this room so there is no danger of her sitting on a puzzle and throwing up. I want to keep Skye out so that it will be an allergy free space when Alison comes. I'm planning to put fresh sheets and a nice Indian bedspread on the bed when Johnny and Alison get here. That yellow blanket is just a placeholder till Thursday.
That dresser on the left was my dad's. If you were to look up decor of a modern bedroom the rooms all look very sparse. With the amount of stuff I have accumulated in life it would be very hard to get anything to look sparse. The best I can hope for is "organized". That's why this makes me happy - it's organized at this moment.
Yesterday since I was getting done with the room I decided to clean the rest of the house and invite Jules and the boys for a sushi dinner. We hadn't talked since before the election. Jules, Sebastian and Noah were able to come. I do not want to cave to depression because of political happenings. I do believe that this time around there will be (more and more) serious bad things happening with Trump and the MAGAs in charge - I won't deny that. But I still have a life to be lived. I want to believe in that. There was a local girl who killed herself over the election. I think I will reread Viktor Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning and give it away to people.
Nothing lined up to do today. Dave left early to go hunting. I'm thinking of a couple phone calls I'd like to make. Work on the puzzle. I'd like to have it done by Thursday. I only just started crocheting the witch's hat for Chloe so there is lots to do there. And of course there is art-a-day and dog walks to do. It's starting to sound like a full day now.
