Yesterday I hiked with Jan at Two Mile - only lightly drizzling, barely drizzling. We didn't notice it till we got back to the car and could see it accumulating on the windshield. So nice to get out and move up and down over the hills and through the woods even if it was overcast. Here's some pictures from Two Mile and later a walk that Dave and I took to the creek and lake with the dogs:

Colors of autumn. Jan explored a mowed pathway into the goldenrod while I sat and rested at a picnic table. Justus Lake in the far distance.

A little mossy stream bed.

Turkey tail.

This was growing on the compost heap outside Dave's garden.

I took a picture of these two last week. They look very different now that they've collapsed.

I have a couple chairs stacked up and ready to use down at the creek. Grandmother Sycamore is dropping her leaves.

Common mullein at the lake. It's like it had a second flowering down on the stalk while the top was finished and all brown.

Not much has turned red yet. Just this one sumac frond.

Fallen elm tree without its bark. Very spiky.

Rainy with wet feet. If she's going for a walk in the woods or to the lake she doesn't mind the wetness - she wants to go. But try to get her to go out in the back yard to pee when it's raining and the grass is high - no way.

Yesterday's art-a-day. Fallen leaves in the front yard.

Today is a big day for Dave. We go to Erie so he can get the cast off his right hand. He's been counting the days.

sumac, mushroom, 2 mile run, lake, dave's thumb, creek, elm trees, raining, sycamore tree, rainy, dave, jan
