We were up very early this morning so Dave could get to an appointment in Erie to have the rest of the stitches taken out of his hand. He got a new cast - green color this time. His next appointment to finally be de-casted and hopefully start rehab will be three weeks from now. We stopped to have breakfast at the Edinboro diner on the way home and I had a veggie omelet. It was huge. With hashbrowns and 3 pancakes. I ate one of the pancakes. Wish I hadn't because I was so tired driving the rest of the way home. Too many carbs always make me incredibly tired. Sends me right to sleep. Dave was talking on his phone to a friend or I would have opened the window - that usually helps me stay awake when I'm driving. Anyway, we made it home and I went to bed immediately and slept till 3.
I painted the one on the left yesterday. They both looked the same before. I think I will do the right hand one with turquoise paint on the grout like the left one but maybe use gold paint on the wood parts. Or maybe my good-old all time favorite color olive green? It's fun to figure these things out.
I've been watching
Special Books by Special Kids videos lately. It's real and heartfelt - the people themselves and their families and friends, funny sometimes, sometimes sad, always fascinating.
