I finished gluing stained glass pieces to all 16 trays yesterday. Now it's time to grout. I'm thinking I should probably do that in the basement since I'll be close to a water source there. I need to check on the grout I have to see if it's still okay and prepare a workspace down there. Kinda sad that my relaxing time in the shed listening to birdsongs and spotify acoustic blues is over. Maybe next summer I'll think of another mosaic project to do out there.
Not that excited about cleaning an area in the basement to work or the grouting (messy) but I am excited to get to the part where I'm choosing complimentary colors to paint the grout and the wood parts of the trays.
The weather has drastically cooled off. 56F right now with a high of 68 expected in the afternoon. Excellent hiking weather. Things feel different all of a sudden - September! It has been a long time since I've taken Rainy to Two Mile. I used to love doing that but it started to seem like a long way to drive (20 minutes) when I have a nice big backyard that I can just walk out the door. But today feels like the beginning to a new phase in more than one way. Maybe hikes at Two Mile with Rainy will be starting back up.
