I was the only one who came to art group yesterday so Berdella and I had a nice one-to-one time. We went to the Amish store on the way to Sandy Lake and then to lunch at the County Line Cafe. As I was dropping her off she said she regretted that last time she was at my house she didn't get to see my mosaic shed and asked if I'd take pictures for her so I did when I got home. Here's the pictures in case you want to see mosaic progress:
I'm glad Dave cut the stump off at this height. It's handy to set things on if I want to take a picture.
I have 2 big trays and 5 small trays left to do.
Workspace.
My writing and relaxing chair. That green box to the right of the chair has my goatshed journal in it and writing implements. Every once in awhile I like to sit down and update it. It's like a letter I write to the shed about what's going on in my life.
I think I had originally gathered these particular colors to use in a mosaiced kaleidoscope I was making years ago. BTW, the wife of a cousin of Dave's contacted me last week to ask if I could fix one of the kaleidoscopes I had made back then - somehow they had inherited it when his parents died. It will be interesting to see it and maybe I can remember who I made it for. I hope I can fix it. I told her if the damage is only on the outside (not on the inside with the mirrors) then I can probably fix it.
On the finished pile.
