A toad that I needed to pick up and move yesterday. He was under a pile of logs that Dave was splitting. I had forgotten how toads feel when you pick them up. Surprisingly cold to the touch. Thin dry skin that slides over the fragile skeleton easily. The tummy seemingly empty and very soft. I did remember how they like to pee on you as a defense mechanism so I kept the tail end away from my hand when I carried it to a new spot.



Egg-bert. Just a silly thing that came to me.

We're supposed to have a rainy day today so I don't have many outside plans. Probably I'll just work in my shed most of the day.
