"Canopy". That's supposed to be a representation of a White Eyed Vireo. We have a lot of them in our woods down back, though I have never seen one - I hear them. They live hidden by leaves in the treetops.

Dave returned home with Johnny last night. I'm a little worried by a deep cut on his thumb he got the first day they were fishing. It affects the ways he can move his right thumb. He can't grasp properly with it anymore. I hope that he gets an appointment to have it seen by a doctor - soon. He didn't have it looked at while he was in Canada because he didn't want to disrupt everyone else's vacation. After he got the bleeding stopped he just continued onward with a handicapped hand.

Another beautiful summer day today. Plans: mosaic in the goatshed and make a vegan meal for Sunday Dinner later.
