Today seems so much like a Saturday. It's hard to get things lined up in my mind properly.
I was talking to Kathy this morning and she requested I take some pictures of daffodils for her. She wants to paint a picture of daffodils for a friend who likes yellow. So here's some pictures from around the front and backyards:
Here's something I don't think I've ever seen before. I looked it up and it's called a Scarlet Elf Cup. A fungus that comes up very early in the spring.
An older more beat-up one.
The outside. Makes me wonder where do the spores come out from? Maybe that's later when they decompose more. I need to keep an eye on these to see any changes. Supposedly they are edible and they are good in salads or cooked. That red would look good in a green salad. I didn't want to pick these in case they would proliferate.
Sunshine (Red) came out to see what I was doing. Dorothy seems better this afternoon. When I let them out into the yard she was acting normally. I'm so glad.
I saw a bluebird checking out one of our bird houses when I was taking the dogs for a walk earlier. I noticed that it was the brightest, most intense blue as it was flying away from me. So that's a lesson on the Bluebird of Happiness. Things always look more precious and desirable as they are leaving.
