This is just a picture that I took the other day of Rainy. Sleeping in her little bed that I have in the closet for her. Before that she was sleeping on some rags that had overflowed from the rag bag in there. She really likes the hall closet. She goes unnoticed in there, it's dark and she can keep an eye on our bedroom door. If I should go in to sleep she wants to know about it so she can jump in bed with me.

In the picture are burrs from my least favorite plant - burdock. Hate that stuff. Just about anytime we go for a walk now Rainy picks up some. The plants fall down and leave the burrs low to the ground this time of year. She sits in front of me and stares at me till I take them off her when we get home. She must have laid in her little bed and left some on the blanket. I didn't know it was there until I looked at the photo. I just looked burdock up and it has medicinal purposes so I guess it's not all bad but I still dislike it.

Anyway, I'm thinking about Rainy a lot today. I dropped her off at the vet's for some dental work early this morning. Maybe it'll just end up being a cleaning - that'd be good. Last time they pulled 4 teeth. Her mouth is too crowded. She is so scared being at the vet's. Shivering. I had to leave with her eyes looking at me begging me not to go. I have a free day till I pick her up at 3. Thinking - maybe I'll take Andy for a hike at Two Mile. I never do that but he'd enjoy it. Dave's gone fishing.

Not a "pretty picture". Just a real thing. A scene I noticed after I cleaned the egg shells and left them to dry on the dishrag. Another one of those compositions where there are numbers of things and patterns and textures. The green eggs are from Blondie and the brown are from Sunshine.

I had a busy couple days over the weekend. On Saturday I was cleaning house, making a cake for Sebastian's birthday and helping Roswell move into his new apartment. He and Jordan are renting it together. Third floor walk up on Liberty St. Three nice big windows in the front that look down on the street. We all mentioned how it'll be a great view for parades. Not that I usually go to the parades in Franklin but maybe I would if I was invited up to see one from that viewpoint.

Sunday I drove down to Pittsburgh and picked Hazel up, cleaned a little more and then we all went out to dinner at the A&C for Sebastian's birthday. Came back here afterwards and we had cake and presents.

Today is shaping up to be a beautiful day. Temps in the afternoon will be in the mid 50s. Sunny blue sky. Looking forward to a hike now.
