Spent a lot of time yesterday after I got home from PT and Cricket trying to get my new phone going. I didn't realize that I needed it to be hooked up to a wifi source to get it set up. The phone's own data source couldn't work to do it. I wish the lady at Cricket had told me that. All she said was that it would take a while to download. So I'm waiting, and waiting and trying and trying and nothing. I asked Roswell to come over and help me and we figured out that it needed an outside wifi source so we used his phone's hotspot and voila - my new phone started to fully function. I'll remember that for the future. It's nice having a phone that works now - I'd been limping along with the old phone for so long it seemed normal to be constantly disappointed when doing internet-y things.
I got a pack of old pictures yesterday from my cousin Dennis that he found in his mom's stuff. Me in the backyard on the swingset and me with sister Kathy and brother John in the front yard. Those trees in the picture beside the garage are huge now - towering. That swingset lasted a very long time - my own kids and grandkids used it. They built 'em good back then. I remember learning to pump my legs to swing. Grandma S taught me.
Happy birthday today to Kathy and to Johnny! They share the same birthday.
Going walking this morning with Jan. I hope we don't regret it - it's cold this morning. Not as cold as it'll get later in the winter but for now it seems cold - below freezing.
