chair yoga

Just to break up the boredom of doing the same 6 right arm exercises I got the idea to do chair yoga in place of one of my 3 daily PT sessions. I'm putting the links to two chair yoga videos here so I could find them easily. I like the woman teaching the yoga lessons and I like her dogs. My friend Candy goes to the local Y and takes yoga lessons and years ago I went too with her but I found it just wasn't for me - the publicness of it. Having to drive to town. I'm really liking doing video yoga with Kierstie Payge though! Doing both videos takes 50 minutes. I hope this can be a new habit I form and keep.

I tell ya' though - the things that involve my right arm hurt and stretch me just as much as the exercises I got from PT. But I like them better because I'm not concentrating only on the arm - I'm thinking about (and being distracted by) my whole body. I keep on wondering - how did I get this out of shape? Yeah, I walk and can climb hills but the rest of my body (back, neck, shoulders) is a wreck.
