I walked with Jan this morning on the bike trail at Wilhelm. I was kind-of afraid we were going to get rained on. It was raining pretty good on my drive over but I kept going and figured I could just use my umbrella and give Jan my extra umbrella if she needed one if the rain kept up. But when I got to New Vernon it was dry there and it was dry the whole time we walked. Afterwards we went to Berdella's for women's group.
Autumn is definitely starting.
This afternoon I went on a photo spree over at the goat shed with the big camera and Super Takumar lens. Thought that now since I'm making changes there (I gave Sebastian the table and chairs and already got the cot out) I'd chronical how it looks. The floor space is empty and I put everything that was on the table into the spaces between the wall joists. I'm thinking that instead of using the goat shed for lounging in the future (it is too hard to keep clean year after year) I might use it for storage of stuff like the glass mosaic supplies - things that wouldn't be damaged by being in there with all the spiders and critters that get in. I can keep things in covered plastic tubs so they'll be clean when I need them. That would free up a lot of space in the basement. So big changes coming. I took many pictures just to help me remember my old days of hanging out in there:
Chloe's sea dragon sculpture was damaged by snow and ice a couple years ago. I thought I would fix it but haven't gotten around yet so here it sits.
A drawing I made of the shed back in the days when goats actually lived here. It hangs on the wall.
A mirror that used to be a bathroom medicine chest.
I'm imagining that after it gets converted into a glass and mosaic storage shed I will still like sitting outside in this chair.
The view from the chair. There are 3 chickens in this picture if you can find them. Two dark and one white.
A decrepit shed that needs torn down - which is my main view from that chair.
