Pete and my golf cart adventure. We decided that since Pete isn’t getting a chance to drive the car or his truck right now it would be fun to take the golf cart for a little ride. We headed down the sidewalk for about 7 blocks before we noticed we were going really slow. The battery had suddenly dropped way down. We got turned around and started back. Going very, very slow. A big fellow walking his dog asked if he could give us a push. That would be appreciated! Though it seemed like if it got a little push then it would speed up again. I took over pushing for a spell and then jumping on the back to ride for a spell. A few other men and boys along the way offered to help but Pete and I were doing good on our own, till we got to the street where Pete and Kathy live. Then it just died, totally. A muscular fellow on his bike came riding by right then and offered to push. Yes! I was so glad. He pushed Pete up the slope of the driveway to the garage. We made it home! What struck me though was how helpful people are. So many people wanting to help.

I need to pack tonight, or at least gather my stuff up. I didn’t think I’d need a shower (just got one this morning) but after pushing the golf cart now I do. So there you go. Wrapping up my time here…
