Good morning. I got up very early (in the dark) and actually got out of the house for a walk this morning. Walked to the Riverview Pointe Preserve. My goal was to see the river. It wasn't that hard to do - less than a 2 mile round trip but it was HOT even at 7 am. I feel good that I did it. Came home all sweaty. Saw a few people on bicycles. That's the way to travel down here in the heat. Make your own breeze as you go. Yesterday I swam twice in Kathy and Pete's pool. It was great. That might be in my future for today too. Kathy and I are meeting her friend Priscilla for lunch today for Thai. I love Thai green curry and the place we are going makes the best I've ever had. It's a must to go there whenever I get down here for visit.

Here's a bunch of black and white infrared pictures I took this morning on my walk:

I think this was my favorite picture of all.

Heading into the Riverview Point Preserve.

Some kind of De Soto memorial statue. I didn't read the plaque this time but if I remember correctly it has to do with De Soto being on a holy mission (to subjugate the natives and find gold).

My goal accomplished - the Manatee River.

I thought about sitting on this bench but I knew I would be swarmed by biting bugs if I stopped moving so didn't.

This picture is about that little bunny.

I took a more narrow return path.

Palm trees that look woven.

On the walk back I went past this little canal.

Me love fallen leaves in sun with infrared.

Fallen flowers.
