Andy's hands this morning. Every once in a while I find him sleeping in the bathroom and when I go in to use the toilet there he is stretched out in front of me.
We had a nice birthday party for Roswell and me last night. Ate at the A&C Buffet. Came back here for cake. I had made a vegan chocolate cake and it was really good - better than your average cake I thought. Very moist. Jules got me a cordless stick vac as a present (something I asked for) and I love it. I had swept the house yesterday afternoon with a broom but I vacuumed it last night after everyone left and I got 2 quarts of "stuff". The earlier sweeping was mostly Andy's hair and leaves and grass that got tracked in but what I got with the vacuum was finer - more dusty. I love my new toy! I have said many times before how much I HATE vacuuming - the cord getting in the way, the noise, the awkwardness of pushing that stupid thing around but this is a whole different experience. Maybe I will actually CLEAN more often now.
Raining this morning. Hard.
June 26 writing prompt: Kleenex. This seems a good prompt to match today. Dave and I are going to the Oil City cemetery this afternoon for a service to bury my cousin Rosie's son's ashes. I will pack some kleenex in my purse. It'll be a sad time. Rosie lost her husband this last winter too. I feel for her. The world is weeping.
