Rainy and I had a wonderful walk in the woods at Two Mile this morning. I went on all the trails that I had planned yesterday while at the dentist. No pictures though. I came home and saw Dave and said - well, no one murdered me. So far so good. Actually, I rarely see other people at Two Mile. As Rainy and I were getting into the car today we did see a couple with their pit bull dog. They were training it to come to a whistle. They were very far from each other and taking turns blowing the whistle and when the dog came running they gave it some love and a treat. Made me think Dave and I should try something like that with Andy to get him to come quicker, and to come directly to us. Andy will come when he's called (when he's ready) but he never comes in a hurry. And most the time he never makes it clear to us - just part way and then he wanders off again. We aren't very strict. I think we need to be more disciplined.
I'm still trying to decide if I like the glasses with progressive lenses. I think they are okay for wearing indoors but outdoors I just don't like having so much of what I'm seeing (out of the corners of my eyes) be out of focus. But in contrast when I take a picture I don't mind vast areas in the picture being out of focus. Kind of like what the Helios lens does. So I put the Helios on the camera and took it for a walk down back this evening. Here's lots of pictures of the usual kind of stuff I always take pictures of but today with out-of-focus edges:
Daffodils on the hillside.
Dave's garden shed.
Dave.
The creek. For some reason a rainbow kind of shape appeared in this picture.
My favorite spot to take a picture of the lake.
The old Burkhart farm.
Home. These weird old lenses make the colors extra rich it seems and I like that.
