Spring Energy Rising.
I have watercolor paper and regular paper interspersed in my newest style of Everything Books and I was planning to make an artwork on each watercolor paper as it comes up - a way to get me to make more art. I'm falling behind already on the artwork pages. But that's okay - it's supposed to challenge me and I can keep rising to the challenge. Maybe I'll get better at art-ing more than writing as I go along. Once I had a book where I challenged myself to make an artwork each day for a year. I didn't allow any writing in that book at all. Sometimes at the end of the day I didn't have the energy to make an artwork and would just draw a spiral or a cross or just some kind of a line on the page for that day. There weren't too many days like that but it was good to allow myself that as an out. I'm thinking I will need to do that for this book too. Or, you know what - I can just find a collage picture and paste that in there. Yeah.
Yesterday afternoon Dave and I walked the dogs down to the lake and creek - some pictures:
Virginia bluebells - these ones are very purple.
Bloodroot. There are 2 places that I know of where they live and I always enjoy finding them there each spring.
After all those black and white infrared pictures it's good to have color again. Though yesterday it wasn't very colorful - a dark sky
Raccoon.
The seed ball from a sycamore. They are laying all over the ground by the lake right now.
This one is disintegrating and starting to disperse.
A storm is coming. The first drops were falling just as we got back to the house.
Maples with their yellow flowers on the far hill.
Last week I broke a filling off a tooth. It left a sharp edge and my tongue is getting sore. I go to the dentist at 12:30 to have it looked at. And one of Dave's friends died in a motorcycle accident last week - the funeral is 11 to 1. So, those are my two happenings today.
