One picture from Candy's and my hike yesterday - a little bridge near the hillside of what I think is all mountain laurel. We definitely want to go back in June to check and see for sure. It'll be beautiful here if it is.
We had dinner with Chloe again last evening at Casey's. These Monday dinners when Chloe gets off work in Oil City are becoming one of my favorite things. Having one of your kids all to yourselves with no mate is great. Mike is nice and a good person but when he's there Dave ends up talking to him exclusively and the table conversation is all about hunting. Something I really have no interest in. If I want to talk with Chloe and find out things about her, talk to her about myself, it's like we have to have an "under" conversation to the side of that. I feel rude that I'm not paying attention to the men talk - it's rude to talk when someone else is talking, right? I'm going to enjoy these times we have with just Chloe as much as possible for now.
Checking out places to visit on the way down to FL. The Congaree National Park in South Carolina looks interesting for a nice little stop to take a hike. So that's a start for now in our planning.
The weather this morning has been very variable. It was going to rain, then it wasn't going to rain, then it did rain. Jan and I weren't sure what we were going to do. Finally decided to wait till after 11 to get out there for our hike. The threat of rain should be totally over by then...
