I actually made some progress in the basement yesterday. Took Hazel's tires out and stacked them outside (with a cover over them so they wouldn't get water in them). Cleared off two work tables. I ordered a patterned paintbrush roller that I hope I can use for painting my plain cloth material. I have the area all ready for doing that when it gets here. I'm going to have to wait till garbage day (tomorrow) to be able to clear more stuff out of there.
Yesterday morning Dave and I walked the dogs around the lake and saw 3 bald eagles. Two adults (perched near their previous nest) and an immature one flying around. They were too far away to get pictures with the camera I had with me but I did take a few pictures of other stuff:

Happy Halloween. How can something as beautiful and innocent as a deer have this inside them?
Morning light.
Not a good picture but I just liked how the camera made the dew drops on the grass become circles.
This is a little spot of weird white stuff we saw on the ground. I thought it was a spider web at first so I took a picture so I could see it better. It looks like some kind of fungus maybe. There are dew drops on it, or else it's seeping water out of it somehow? It was probably the size of a nickel.
The farthest side of the lake. Usually I have to turn around here because at the water outlet the water is too deep to cross but yesterday it was low and I could step on stones and keep going. We walked clear around the lake and went under the eagle's nest. You can almost see the eagle's nest in this picture. It's that dark spot in the sycamore tree at the far, far right.
One eagle left at the nest - the other had already flown.
Chloe invited us for lunch today. We'll find out more about the trip she took with Kiyomi out West last week. She got fabulous pictures of the places they visited and explored. I want to find out exactly where they were so I can at least plan a similar trip. Not sure it will ever happen but I can still hope.
Candy and I were going to go hiking this morning but it is raining pretty hard at the moment (7 am) so I don't know now...
