I've been burning an apple pie, cinnamon and vanilla candle the last few days. It makes my nose run and eyes itch a bit but I don't care. I love smelling it anyway. Just for a few hours in the afternoon.
Raining. It rained hard last night. I could even hear it from bed, on the roof. If you are in the living room you can hear it loudly falling on the chicken coop from the baby monitor there.
Towers of tiny turtles. That mug was a gift from Jan and Leon. Leon loves buying me chicken themed things. Each little packet of woven hexagons has 20, so I have 80+ done so far. I need 360 for the lap robe I'm going to make. I'm crazy about pin loom weaving right now. I want to make a king sized bedspread blanket for Johnny and Alison but before I do such a big project I want to be sure I've chosen the right loom and right yarns. So I'm doing lots of tests and drawing designs.
Jan and I talked about hiking today. Hoping the rain would be done around 10. Now the forecast is extending the rain to even later so this might be a stay at home morning.
I have my music lesson tonight so there will be piano practice happening. I'm working on my last song in the level one Alfred's Adult lesson book - Chattanooga Choo Choo. It's harder than I thought it would be. Another song I'm working on is from the Super Easy book - Eleanor Rigby. I enjoy doing "super easy" much more. But I want to keep plugging away and challenging myself with the lesson books. I've already bought the level two book. I hope level two won't be a big jump in difficulty. Level one has been hard enough.
