Tiny 2" Turtles. All made with just the one skein of Red Heart Mélange yarn (except for that green one top right). I really love how you can get so many different colors without changing yarns. I found that I can make these hexagons pretty quickly - 10 per hour. Though they are small. I figured out yesterday that I'll need 360 just to make a lap robe. I think I'll do that before I tackle the larger blanket I want to make for Johnny and Alison. The larger looms (a matching 6" square and 6" triangle) I want to use for Johnny's blanket haven't arrived yet anyway.

I stayed home yesterday and beside the tiny turtle weaving did some cooking. Made a big pot of green beans from Dave's garden and cooked up filling (mushroom, onion, green pepper and black bean) for making quesadillas. I invited Jules over but he had already eaten so we just talked on the phone for a long time. That was nice.

This morning I go to see my carpal tunnel doctor in Slippery Rock. Dave and I figure we'll make a big day of it since we'll already be there and hike the Wolf Creek Narrows trail too and then have lunch at Elephant 8 Thai Taste. Since I saw my carpal tunnel surgeon 2 months ago, (that was a different doctor who did the EMG last week) my hand has started to feel much better. Not near as much of the unbearable pin and needles happening, though I do still have numbness in the fingers. I'll tell him that and we'll see what's next today.
