I thought about going to Two Mile this morning with Rainy but the idea of having to drive there turned me off. I know it's not that far - about 10 miles away or 20 minutes but I am getting tired of the drive so I figured I'd just take a cruise of the backyard with my camera. Some pictures using the helios lens:
Dave's garden.
This was the main thing I wanted to get a photo of - purple bee balm. There is a patch of them growing down by the creek.
Flowers just starting to emerge.
A bug's ass retreating over the edge.
Pretty red berries -don't eat them. Amur honeysuckle.
There was one single lonely day lily.
I really like what the helios lens does to backgrounds.
A fly tasting some nectar.
I didn't realize till today that this is how stinging nettles propagate. These are the flower structures. More like what a fern has.
Path going back.
Once again - I really like what this lens does to out of focus light.
The powerlines. A standard feature of the backyard. Nice puffy clouds. It's not that hot today.
