Had a good day today. Hiked with Jan at Two Mile in the morning. Nearly the same route that Sebastian and I took the day before but Jan and I added a bit more to it by following a meandering stream to the top of the hill instead of taking the straight-up-the-hill horse trail. Here's some pictures:
The horse trail going up the hill. The bike trail that Jan and I took today goes off to the left and follows the stream.
I liked the patterns in this rotted log.
A pool of water at the head of the stream that we were following. I think this was probably a very primitive spring house once.
This is a very different kind of No Trespassing sign. I never saw one like this before.

Last evening Dave and I took the dogs for a walk around the lake. We haven't walked clear around the whole lake for a few months - ever since the eagles started to nest. We finally figured that by now the eaglets have fledged so we can walk under the nest again. On the far side we saw a young man walking in our direction and we waited so we could talk to him. It turned out that he is a second (or third - I don't know how that works) cousin to me. His father is my second cousin (I think). His great grandfather Joseph Schiffer was my Uncle Joe. Anyway, turns out that since his father owns the lake now he is camping there for the summer. A nice young man. Dave offered to lend him a canoe so he could fish on the lake. That might work out nicely for us too because then we could canoe on the lake too.
Here's a picture of Dave and Rainy on the way back from the far side of the lake.
At my music lesson tonight I gave my teacher one of my mandala rocks. She said she liked it and that she's going to put it on one of her bookshelves. I laughed and said - that's about all you CAN do with it.

Sebastian is back to work at Fedex in the warehouse so I will need to be lending him my car to get to work again.
Dave did more work on the plumbing today - putting in a new pressure tank and hooking up an outside spigot so we had no running water all day. It was good that I wasn't here most of the day.
