Toad eggs on my mind this morning. I'm hoping that Candy and I can hike to the Cow Run shelters today so I can check on how the toad eggs in that puddle are doing. I might take along a jar and gather some to bring home. We could use more toads around here.
Had a good day yesterday. Went to the movies in Meadville to see the Doctor Strange movie. Enjoyed it. Afterwards we went to eat lunch at a new place that caters to vegan eating. We didn't realize that everything was going to be cold. Cold white rice. Very light on the sauce. Kind of tasteless. I wouldn't go back. But I still enjoyed sitting outside with Jules and Sebastian and talking about the movie. Got home and had time to make some deviled eggs to take to Chloe's in-laws. We were invited for what I guess was a Mother's Day bar-b-que. Ironic because Mike's mother had to do most the work to get ready for it. They have a really nice backyard spot to sit around a fire circle. Lots of little song birds flitting around us in the trees. We did all pitch in and carry the tables and food stuffs back to the house afterwards so that helped make her load lighter.

I woke up at 2:30 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. Got up and wrote for a while, practiced piano with headphones on, read, wrote in my journal, ate an early breakfast. And now here it is time to do chicken chores. On with my day.
