monday
my left hand
i don't think i will be writing in my paper journal for a while
thank goodness the computer is much easier
now that i don't have my hobbies i have much more time to go slowly and do the daily chores
i had at first assumed i might give myself a holiday and let someone else do the dishes
but i found this morning it wasn't that hard to unload and load the dishwasher
just slow
so glad we have a dishwasher!
yesterday morning i stripped the bed
thinking i would make it up fresh later
later, i only had one arm
i did need dave's help with that
my lefty hand writing looks just like john's did
thinking about him a lot and his struggles
he did it
and much more,
i can too
i like writing this way
simplified, barely using the shift
who needs punctuation
and capital letters at the beginning of sentence when you can just
start a new line?
my hand is pretty swollen and uncomfortable
tho i am icing it
maybe not as much as i could
today i'll be more dedicated to that
i'm supposed to call the orthopedic surgeon today
i hope i can get in to see him soon and get on with the next step
already feeling itchy spots in the cast that i don't like
attempt the questions
when was the last time you ate a great deal of food at one sitting?
as a compulsive overeater i do that way too often
but lately i've been pretty good about it
yesterday dave went into town to get salt to put on that ice i slipped on
and he also picked up a bunch of chinese
smart
we can eat that for a while and i won't have to cook anything
usually i overeat on chinese
i love it so much
but last night i didn't
seems this discomfort is helping me to lose my over achiever appetite
skip the other question
it's about switching characters in two different movies/books etc
not interested in even thinking about it
i've decided i want to continue making sebby an egg bagel breakfast in the morning
i like getting to see him
my main concern is flipping the fried egg lefthanded
it might be my biggest challenge of the day!
yesterday i didn't even brush my teeth or wash my face
that'll be another new thing for today
i don't want to attempt the shower yet
going to have dave wash my hair in the kitchen sink and do a sponge bath
