puttering

Hazel changed her mind and wants to move her stuff later (weekend?) so I have my day free. Puttering back and forth with crochet, piano and playing with the new paints that came in the mail this morning.

This is another project that I started a couple years ago but didn't finish. I have about 50 of these granny squares so far. If I make another 50 I'll have enough for a lap robe. This color is called Dragonfly.

My first attempt at using the Brusho crystal paints. I can see that there is a learning curve to get the best "blooming" colors. I have a lot more experimenting to do. Something I learned about Brusho that is a little disappointing is that it doesn't settle into the paper and stay put. If you wet it, even after it is dry, it easily will move again.

I know I slept a lot last night but I think I might just take a nap. It's that kind of day.
